City Guide: Southampton

Last weekend we drove out to Southampton to do a trunk show at Cabochon; a great jewelry boutique that carries ASHA.  Cabochon is on Jobs Lane - the main shopping street in Southampton.  After the show, we strolled down Jobs popping into the other great stores like Theory, Intermix, and Lennegan & Marantz. There are so many great things to do in Southampton, here are a few of my favorites.

Shop at Cabochon, Intermix, Theory, and Lennegan & Marantz.
Admire the gorgeous sunset from any one of the beaches in Southampton.
Dine at Southampton Social Club - their sweet potato fries are the best.
Lay out at Cooper's Beach, voted as one of the top 10 beaches in the US.
Relax at home with take out from Red Bar.

White Lacquer "Pagoda" Jewelry Box

I popped into Dovecote in Westport, Connecticut yesterday to check out their gorgeous home decor selection.  This white lacquer "Pagoda" jewelry box caught my eye - can you imagine it filled with tons of ASHA jewels?  If you have never been, you must visit this home decor mecca - it is one of my absolute favorites.  You can visit their website in the meantime.

About Town: Alex Pethtel

I had so much fun getting to know Alex from Treillage. I love her passion for design and style. While I was there we talked about her arts education background and her love of jewelry. Read about her life in New York and working at Treillage.

Who are your favorite interior designers, other than Bunny Williams...
Mark Hampton, Steven Gambrel, and Joseph Dirand.

And lastly, she isn't a designer, but my mother has an amazing eye. She has really inspired me in many ways. I love the way she has put our home together!

Favorite part about living in New York...
How eclectic the city is. It's almost like you are in 100 different places at once. You can be on the Upper East Side and 20 minutes later transport downtown which has a completely different feel.

Where did you study...
SMU (Southern Methodist University), Pratt Institute, and Christie's.

Favorite place to shop...
Escada for clothes and Flair for home.

Favorite restaurant in New York...
Bubby's.

Favorite ASHA piece...
Zodiac Ring.

Favorite part about working at Treillage...
Obviously an enormous bonus to working at Treillage is the exposure to Bunny and John. Their design and aesthetics are amazing, of course, but their business savvy and people skills are enormously impressive as well.

I love seeing all the goodies they bring back from their travels and interacting with people in the store. You meet some really interesting people.

ASHA at Treillage

We are so excited that Bunny Williams' infamous home decor shop - Treillage - is carrying ASHA. As one of the great designer's of our time, it is an honor to be part of Bunny's curated selection of beautiful things. Speaking of beautiful things - check out the stunning blue hurricanes pictured below - they would be perfect on a table set with all blue & white china.

Make sure to pop in to Bunny Williams' Upper East Side store at 72nd & Lex and check out gorgeous accents for your home + ASHA jewels!

City Guide: Nantucket

I just got back from one of my favorite spots; Nantucket.  It's such a nice change of pace from the city with its cobblestone streets and bundles of hydrangeas lining the sidewalk.  I wanted to share a few of my go-to spots on the island - see below.

1.  Watch the sunset from Cisco.
2.  Rent bikes and explore the island.
3.  Admire the beautiful, vibrant hydrangeas.
4.  Stay at The White Elephant.
5.  Have dinner and drinks at Ventuno - my favorite dinner spot.
6.  Pack a picnic and head to Nobadeer beach.
7.  Grab lunch at Provisions and watch the boats come in.
8.  Have lunch at Galley Beach.  I also love to grab drinks there at night.
9.  Shop at Addison Craig where you'll find fabulous shoes and handbags, as well as ASHA jewels.
